The Center for Integrated Plasma Studies is now in it's 14th year of operation. It is extremely diverse in terms of the types of
plasma physics taking place and provides a "home" on campus for what has always been a highly interdisciplinary research topic.
As Director of CIPS, it is a real pleasure to work with such a talented group of plasma physicists. Our goal at CIPS is to facilitate
plasma related research here on campus. CIPS provides administrative support with minimal red tape, letting physicists do at what
they are good at. Looking forward, we will work to maintain our nationally
recognized plasma program. To this end, we are currently
in the process of hiring a new experimental Assistant Professor.
