• What are your source of funds? If you wish to purchase your computer using sponsored project funds, i.e. from a grant or contract, it must be a line item in your approved budget. If it is not, you must get approval from the Director of Office of Contracts and Grants before placing your order.
  
• OK, you have approval for your purchase. You can purchase your computer through one of two companies: - If you wish to purchase an Apple computer, you must purchase it through the Apple Education site, Apple Rockies. - If you wish to purchase a Dell computer you must purchase through the Dell Premier website. This is the only way to get the tax exempt status, extended warranty deal, and the free shipping negotiated by the State. Save your order as a web proposal. If you decide to order through Dell, you'll need to get an Dell Premier Account setup. You can do this at the Dell Website or by contacting our Dell Account Manager, Ekta Shah via email at Ekta_Shah@Dell.com or by phone at 303-315-2799.
  
• Now you have a saved web proposal for your order. How do you pay for it? If you have a CU purchasing card (ACARD) and a high enough limit you may use your card otherwise see Carolyn James and she can assist you.
