To share and disseminate information from our simulations we animate the resulting images. This allows us to compress the sequence and post in on the internet or send it via email to collaborators and other interested parties. The results presented here are from a three-dimensional toroidal flux-tube
simulation of ion-temperature-gradient driven turbulence using the "Cyclone
D-IIID Base Case" parameters. The simulation uses the parallel canonical
momentum split-weight scheme and has full electron dynamics, including both
trapped and passing electrons physics, is included. Both the linear growth
rate and the saturated ion heat flux are increased dramatically from that
of adiabatic electron simulations. A noticeable feature of the turbulence
is the less dominance of the zonal flow, as can be seen from 2D and 3D plots
of the electric potential below.
